Patriots Bank of Garnett, a family owned business, has over 110 years of tradition in community banking. Jimmy Cooper, CFO and his wife June acquired the charter in 1978, with the bank having total assets of $7 million. Jim has always been at the forefront of the Kansas banking industry and in 2011 received the prestigious 60 years in Kansas Banking Award. In 1983, their son, Scott Cooper President and CEO joined them and has since grown Patriots Bank to six locations with over $90 million in solid assets. Scott and Jim have served on the Kansas Bankers Association Board as well as many other local community boards.
